Text messages from Paint Pals

Paint Pals is estimating software that painting contractors use to prepare estimates, contracts and invoices. When your contractor shares one of those documents with you by text, the text usually comes from Paint Pals, sent by Paint Pals LLC from (970) 545-7292; those messages name the painting company the document came from, and every document message ends with “Sent by Paint Pals software.” Some contractors text from a local number of their own instead, under their own name; that is explained below. Nobody sends marketing or promotional texts through Paint Pals.

Your painting contractor asks first

No number is texted without a recorded yes. Before the first text, your contractor asks you in person or on the phone, reading this script from the Paint Pals screen. The brackets hold the contractor's company name.

“Would you like to receive your estimate, contract and invoice by text from Paint Pals, the estimating software we use, at (970) 545-7292? Each text names [Company name] as the source of the document. Message frequency varies, usually a few messages per project. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Terms: https://app.paintpals.app/terms. Privacy: https://app.paintpals.app/privacy. Do you agree, yes or no?”

You can say no. Saying no changes nothing about the price or the work: you get the same documents by email instead. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything.

What happens after you say yes

  • Your answer is recorded. The contractor records it in Paint Pals on your contact record: your name and mobile number, the contractor who asked, the date and time, and that the consent was given verbally. Paint Pals LLC keeps that record and can provide it on request.
  • You get a confirmation text right away: “You're opted in to receive your painting project documents (estimates, contracts, invoices) by text from Paint Pals software. Each one names [Company Name] as the source. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.”
  • Then the document link arrives in its own message, and the other documents for your project follow the same way.

The messages you may receive

  • “[Company Name] has sent you an estimate for [Project Name]. View it here: https://app.paintpals.app/p/[token]. Reply STOP to opt out. Sent by Paint Pals software.”
  • “[Company Name] prepared your contract. Review and sign it here: https://app.paintpals.app/c/[token]. Reply STOP to opt out. Sent by Paint Pals software.”
  • “[Company Name] sent you an invoice for [Project Name]. View and pay online: https://app.paintpals.app/c/[token]/invoice. Reply STOP to opt out. Sent by Paint Pals software.”
  • “Thanks, [First Name]. Your payment of [Amount] to [Company Name] was received. Receipt: https://app.paintpals.app/c/[token]/invoice. Reply STOP to opt out. Sent by Paint Pals software.”

Stop or get help

Some contractors text from their own number

Some painting companies use Paint Pals with a local phone number of their own. Their texts come from the company, under its own name and from its own number: every message starts with the company's name and none ends with “Sent by Paint Pals software.” They text their customers about their own project: the estimate, contract and invoice, scheduling updates, replies to questions, and follow-ups the customer asked for. They do not send marketing or promotional texts. Nothing else changes: the company still asks you first, in person or on the phone, reading this script from the Paint Pals screen, and the same record of your answer is kept. The brackets hold the company's name, its number and the links to its own terms and privacy policy.

“Would you like to receive texts from [Company name] about your project, from [Company number]? That includes your estimate, contract and invoice, scheduling updates, and follow-ups you ask for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Terms: [Company terms link]. Privacy: [Company privacy link]. Do you agree, yes or no?”

There is no separate confirmation text. The first text the company sends you carries the program terms at the end. For example:

“[Company Name]: You have an estimate for [Project Name]. View it here: https://app.paintpals.app/t/[code] Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.”

Every text after that comes without those terms. For example:

  • “[Company Name]: You have an estimate for [Project Name]. View it here: https://app.paintpals.app/t/[code]”
  • “[Company Name]: Your contract is ready to review and sign: https://app.paintpals.app/t/[code]”
  • “[Company Name]: You have an invoice for [Project Name]. View and pay online: https://app.paintpals.app/t/[code]”
  • “[Company Name]: Thanks, [First Name]. Your payment of [Amount] was received. Receipt: https://app.paintpals.app/t/[code]”
  • “[Company Name]: Hi [First Name], we will be at [Street Address] tomorrow at 8:00 am to start your project. Reply here with any questions.”
  • “[Company Name]: Hi [First Name], this is [Estimator Name]. You asked me to check back this week about your estimate for [Project Name]. Any questions I can answer?”

Replies to a company's own number reach that company. Reply STOP to any message and no more texts are sent to your number from that company. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

What your contractor sees

There is only one way in

Verbal consent recorded by your contractor is the only way texts begin. There is no web form, no paper form, no QR code and no keyword to text to sign up. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy
